Petersen Racing was established in April 2000 by Dave and Cale Petersen. The team grew when Cale's brother Reece joined the team. The rig that the team has is a 6x10 Play-Mor enclosed trailer. Cale is in between bikes right now. The team is ran by Dave Petersen, Cale and Reece's dad, he is the mechanic and the man that handles the money. The person behind handeling Cale's race resumes, and finding sponsors is Cale's mom Wanda. Cale races the bikes for the team, he races 125C class in district 22, and 17. Reece is the one in training, he is riding a YZ 80 learning the ropes, and getting really fast for only riding for a few months. Better watch out in a few years, he'll be rippin it up! The team travels all over Iowa and parts of Illinois. The tracks they race at are Coal Valley, Illinois, Winterset, Iowa, Greenfield, Iowa, New Hartford, and Adel next year. The team packs up usually on Saterday nights and leave early Sunday morning for the races. Cale is training in the off season to get stronger and more in shape for the 2001 season, and hopefully win some races.
